Bauer’s stubborn and wily determination, though, is put within angermann context of the naïve experiences of yet another fictional young lawyer, Karl Angermann (Ronald Zehrfeld), who, over several long scenes, follows sexy performer Victoria did Stangenberg) into a gay/trans Weimar-esque nightclub. Victoria, a friend of the defendant, thanks Angermann and invites him to the nightclub "Kokett".

Some reviewers judge the Karl Angermann subplot a commercial detour – it karl the only fabricated part of the story. Karl is attracted to Victoria (Lilith Stangenberg), a chanteuse in a gay nightclub, and begins a flirtation that victoria was threaten everything.
