Sundew cannot be gay because SHE is a female (regardless of wether or not she is trans, cis, or some other gender identity) she is, however, homoromantic to some extent at least. Wether on not she is homosexual is difficult to portray in a children's story because you have to keep everything very clean so parents do not freak out.
